1. HOW TO ENTER: The “Premier Travel Vacation Giveaway” ("Sweepstakes") starts 9/23/09 at 12:00 A.M., E.T. and ends 10/31/09 at 11:59:59 P.M., E.T. ("Sweepstakes Period"). To enter the Sweepstakes, go to www.united.com/ptgiveaway (the "Website") ”) during the Sweepstakes Period and submit the information requested on the registration page. Your entry must be received no later than 11:59:59 P.M., E.T. on 10/31/09. After you have successfully registered, each day that you log onto the Website, you will have the opportunity to play the “Photo Scrapbook: Premier Travel Vacation Giveaway Game” (“Game”) by following the on-screen instructions. Playing the Game is solely for your enjoyment; whether or not you play the Game will not effect your chances of winning the Sweepstakes. Limit: You may only enter the Sweepstakes once each day during the Sweepstakes Period regardless of the email address you use; however, you may earn a maximum of one (1) additional entry “Bonus Entry” when you tell your friends about the Sweepstakes as described in Rule 2 below. 2. TELL-A-FRIEND VIA FACEBOOK CONNECT: Each day during the Sweepstakes Period when you log onto the Website, you may receive one (1) additional Sweepstakes entry when you click on the button "Facebook Connect®," log onto your Facebook® account. Post a message on your Wall that can be read by your friends inviting them to participate in the Sweepstakes. You must first have a Facebook account. If you do not have an existing Facebook account; you must first establish one. There is no charge to join and establish a Facebook account. To join Facebook and establish an account, go to www.facebook.com and follow the registration instructions. Regardless of the number of Facebook messages you post each day and regardless of the email address and Facebook account name you use, you will receive a maximum of one (1) Bonus Entry per day. 3. RANDOM DRAWING: On or about 11/06/09, the names of the potential Winners will be selected by PrizeLogic, LLC (“PrizeLogic”) an independent judging agency, in a random drawing conducted in accordance with these Official Rules, from among the total number of all eligible entries received. The potential Winners will be notified either by email and/or telephone on or about 11/13/09. The potential Winners are subject to eligibility verification by PrizeLogic. PrizeLogic’s decisions shall be final in all matters pertaining to this Sweepstakes. 4. PRIZE & ODDS OF WINNING: GRAND PRIZE (5): The Winners will receive as the Grand Prize (alternately referred to as the “Trip”) a vacation package for two (2) to one (1) of the following three (3) destinations of his/her choice: Santa Monica, CA, San Francisco, CA or Miami, FL. The Trip will be awarded in the form of an Economy Class 48 State Roundtrip Travel E-certificate (“Certificate”) which is redeemable for roundtrip coach airfare for two (2) from the major international airport nearest to the Winner’s residence to the major international airport servicing the selected destination city and four (4) days/three (3) nights’ hotel accommodations (1 standard room; double occupancy) at a Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Fairmont Hotels & Resorts accommodations are awarded in the form of Fairmont Ovation Certificate(s) and include daily breakfast, gratuities, and taxes. Accommodations subject to black-out dates, restrictions, availability and Fairmont Hotels Last Room Available policy and Last Room availability is valid as long as correct room type is available at the respective hotel.
5. ELIGIBILITY: The Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who are legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia (excluding Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico), 18 years or older as of date of entry ; however, officers, directors, agents and employees (and the household members and immediate family members, e.g. children, spouse, siblings, parents and the “steps” of each of the aforementioned and their household members) of Sponsor, PrizeLogic, Facebook, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts (U.S.) Inc., their parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their advertising, promotion and web design agencies, their independent contractors, (all of the former collectively referred to as "Sponsor & Others"), and other individuals/entities associated with this Sweepstakes are not eligible to enter or win. 6. RELEASE: By acceptance of a Prize, each Winner releases and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Sponsor & Others from and against any and all costs, claims, damages, or any other injury, whether due to negligence or otherwise, to person(s) or property (including, without limitation, death or violation of any personal rights, such as violation of right of publicity/privacy, libel, or slander), due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Sweepstakes, or arising out of participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or travel-related activity, whether hosted by Sponsor & Others or a third party. 7. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY/ INTERNET: Sponsor & Others are not responsible for interrupted or unavailable network server or other connections, miscommunications, failed telephone or computer transmissions or jumbled, scrambled or misdirected entries or transmissions, or for phone, electrical, network, computer hardware or software or program malfunctions, failures or difficulties or for other errors, omissions, interruptions, or deletions of any kind whether human, mechanical or electronic or for any damage to any person’s computer related to participating in the Sweepstakes. Sponsor & Others are not responsible for illegible, unintelligible, late, lost or stolen entries or incorrect or inaccurate entry information, whether caused by Internet users or programming associated with or utilized in the promotion or by any technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of any entries in this Sweepstakes. Sponsor & Others are not responsible for any typographical errors in any Sweepstakes related materials. Any entrant who attempts to participate with multiple email addresses, under multiple identities or uses any bot, robotic or other device or artifice to play multiple times or to interfere with the proper operation of this Sweepstakes, will be disqualified. Entrants found tampering with, abusing any aspect of this Sweepstakes or acting in an unsportsmanlike manner, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified and may be subject to prosecution. If in the judgment of Sponsor, the Sweepstakes is compromised by viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, which corrupt the administration, security, fairness of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to discontinue, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes and to select the potential winners from among eligible entries received prior to such discontinuation, suspension or termination of the Sweepstakes. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an email address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address. The interpretation of these Official Rules shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any and all disputes will be resolved individually, without resort to class action, in the appropriate courts in the State of Michigan exclusively, and subject to the laws of the State of Michigan. Should there be a conflict between the laws of the State of Michigan and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the State of Michigan.
